In alignment with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are helping our customers to maintain a correct and active contact database.
As part of this, we have published a new configuration page under Account Settings called “Data Retention”, where you control the purge time frame for all your contacts stored in Symplify. Currently, you are only able to see the current settings (default is twelve months for all data), you need to contact support or your KAM if you wish to make any changes to these settings.

IMPORTANT! This will not affect your active customers – only those contacts who
Have NOT received ANY communications
Have NOT been UPDATED from import and/or API  during the settings interval.

Purchase history and Message history have their own purge settings so that you can align your retention strategy in accordance with your customer agreements and GDPR.

In accordance with “The right To Be Forgotten”, there is also a functionality available that handles any requests from customers to be removed and forgotten from your database.

For any inquiries connected to these features, please contact your KAM or email support@symplify.com

Best Regards, The Symplify Team
